Guitar Scream

You know when you listen to bands like Bullet for my Valentine, Pantera, Killswitch Engage, or carcass and the guitar solos gives a squeal that sounds impressive? It’s quite difficult at first, but practice makes perfect! Note: You must be able to play the guitar well enough to do this, not for beginners. You also need an electric guitar (not acoustic) with an amplifier with a distortion / overdrive. This called a pinch harmonic

• Well, first you learn to do a natural harmonic. This familiar with the sound of a harmonica.
• In turn the distortion. Turn up the treble and midrange. Select the bridge pickup the guitar. Any metal that sounds good-ISH sound pattern should work fine.
• Use the left (Fretting) finger; lightly touch a string at the 12th fret. Done directly on the load, not behind it, as you normally would Fretting a note. Not strong enough to cut the chain, or load normally.

• Repeat 10 times.

• Select a note with concern. I would recommend the A string at the 7th fret. Then try to move your hand around the collection and find different harmonics. Start your position in the range of collection (near the bridge).
• The use of vibrato (shaking his note) helps a lot.
• If you do this for about 20 minutes each day in a week, you will be able to.

• Keep trying! It is very likely to take more than a day to master this!

Pre-Bend and Release

• Pre-Bend and Release : Bend the note up 1/2 (or whole) step,
  Strike it and release the bend back to the original note.
